STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN SEAT PG AND SKY ITALIA:
SMALL AND MEDIUM ITALIAN ENTERPRISES CAN NOW BE SEEN ON SKY CHANNELS
FIRST STEP: “SERIE B” FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Seat PG expands its range of advertising and communications services for Italian companies: after paper, telephone and Internet it’s now the hour of television
Turin, July 2 2010 - SEAT PG and Sky Italia announce a strategic agreement aimed at making
the communications capabilities of national television advertising available to small and
medium-sized Italian companies, and exploiting the potential of SKY’s football programming as an
extremely effective tool for local advertising.
The recently signed strategic partnership between the two companies enhances and complements both the role of Seat PG as a "360° local marketing agency" for Italian SMEs, and the role of Sky as a leader in quality television programming on a national scale with the advantage of being able to segment its audience. The synergy resulting from the partnership will allow the promotion of local businesses to television audiences with a precise local profile and socio-demographic characteristics that have a strong appeal to advertisers.
The first step involves conferring to Seat PG and its sales network – which consists of approximately 2,000 professionals covering the entire national territory – the exclusive right to sell advertising space which will air on the Sky network during the Italian Football League Serie B Championship 2010/2011.
Under the agreement Seat becomes the first directory in the world to sell television advertising to its “core” customers, namely small and medium enterprises. At the same time, Sky will begin to differentiate the value extracted from advertisers.
Seat PG's go-to-market strategy also includes the production of television commercials with the highest standards in quality – from storyboard and creative development at a professional level to high-definition filming – in order to offer any company looking to utilize television for the first time a complete, turn-key solution that is both simple and affordable.
This latest agreement marks the continued evolution of the Seat PG multichannel service offering which now provides SMEs – in addition to paper media, web and telephone – TV and ensures the maximum effectiveness and support for their client communications and marketing strategies.
" The agreement with such a prestigious partner as Sky is a milestone for the development of our strategy" said Alberto Cappellini, Chief Executive Officer of Seat Pagine Gialle. " The ability to access targeted audiences on national television with an appropriate level of investment is, in my opinion, a fantastic opportunity for the small and medium enterprises to which SEAT is increasingly becoming a full-service Local Marketing Communication Agency".
