PagineGialle now in wide-screen format for iPad: the must-have accessory of the moment makes searching faster and more efficient

Users can also access an emotional search of useful shops and services... and much more besides

Turin, August 2, 2010 – SeatPG presents PagineGialle Mobile for iPad, the revolutionary tablet computer from Apple. PagineGialle Mobile — which in the iPhone-only version has already been downloaded by over 350,000 Italian users who appreciate the application’s functionality and ease of use — is now "universal". It will automatically adapt to the device it is installed on (iPad, iPhone or iPod), and has a different interface and functions to suit each one.

PagineGialle Mobile — which you can download free from iTunes, http://itunes.com/apps/paginegialle — now presents an original interface for iPad, which exploits the tablet computer’s full potential.
For instant access to the most popular services, the home page features icons corresponding to frequently-searched categories such as hotels, cinemas and restaurants. A single tap will bring up a list of results close to the user’s position (located automatically) or around another location entered by the user.

The search results are also marked on a map — so you can navigate your way around and find the best solution to your requirements. Each result also has a detailed multimedia profile containing all the information you need: telephone number, email address, pictures, video clips and website links. Each screen will show you the route to your chosen destination, and for some results you can also view an introductory video.

The new iPad application also adapts to fit the wide 10" display screen, showing you two separate parts: on the right is a map, showing the location of your results, while on the left you can view the complete list, making it even faster to view the full search and get a clear idea of where you are.

With PagineGialle Mobile for iPad you can find shops and services based on an area of the map, or by indicating a specific " starting point", with a quick tap on the screen. The application still features the more traditional search mode, in which you type in the street or location in which you need a certain product or service.

Moreover, it also offers searches of the PagineBianche database: a fast and easy way to find people or institutions anywhere in Italy.

The iPhone version, which still has all the same functions including augmented reality, has been modified to handle the multitasking function available on the new version of the Apple 4.0 operating system.
