Turnaround process to involve revamping the line of products and servicesto be more incisive and efficiency gains
Turin, 15 December 2009
- The publishing industry is experiencing a period of extreme difficulty, both in Italy
and abroad.
The factors that have given rise to this situation are primarily tied to the transformation
under way in our business, which is in constant, rapid evolution, and to the economic crisis, which
has not shown significant signs of improvement.
In this context, during 2009 Seat PG launched a series of initiatives aimed at accelerating the transition towards an increasingly efficient multimedia model capable of supporting advertising clients in growing their businesses. Seat PG also launched structural operating cost cutting measures aimed at maintaining a level of investment suitable to developing its business.
Seat PG has the full potential, as soon as market conditions so permit, to resume growth driven by a renewed, more incisive line of products and services to meet our clients’ new needs, supported by a thorough organizational restructuring aimed at simplifying processes and adapting to fit clients’ needs.
To this end, the Company is working to update the guidelines of the business plan, while taking into account expected earnings in the medium term, in order to implement company strategies, which are still being drafted.
On this basis, the Company informed labour union representatives today of its intention of initiating a dialog to seek out the solutions best suited to ensuring our Company’s continuity and growth, in accordance with the new multimedia model for its line of products and services. Press contacts:
