Rome, 9 July 2008 – The ICE (Italy's Foreign Commerce Institute) and SEAT Pagine
Gialle S.p.A. have signed a collaboration agreement that calls for a link between their respective
portals, with the shared aim of offering an additional tool to provide information to Italian
companies doing business on international markets and foreign companies that require information on
the Italian economy.
As a matter of fact, the ICE portal aimed at foreign companies,
www.italtrade.com, one of the features of which is a
database containing over 50,000 Italian companies, includes a link to the website of a subsidiary
of Seat Pagine Gialle S.p.A., Europages S.A. The latter manages an online directory,
www.europages.com, through which users may contact over
900,000 European companies that engage in export business, of which approximately 100,000 are
Italians. Europages in turn provides a link to Italtrade.
The aim of the agreement between the ICE and SEAT Pagine Gialle S.p.A. is to increase the
visibility of Italian companies on international markets by enhancing their ability to promote
commercial opportunities over the internet. Indeed, the two links will serve to call the attention
of foreign companies visiting one of the two portals with the aim of seeking Italian business
partners to the existence of the other portal, which provides a similar service.
