Environmental Management System

ISO 14001 is a standard that specifies the requirements for a certified “environmental management system”; a statement confirming compliance with the requirements of the standard can be obtained from an accredited certification body that operates in conformity with specific rules. Obtaining ISO 14001 certification is not obligatory; it is the voluntary choice of companies or organisations that decide to establish, initiate or maintain an environmental management system.
