Forest Stewardship Council


The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, independent, non-profit NGO whose membership comprises environmental and social groups, indigenous communities, forest owners, timber trade representatives, scientists and technicians who work together to improve forest management throughout the world.
The FSC trademark identifies products containing wood from forests that are correctly and responsibly managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The forest of origin has been independently inspected and evaluated according to these standards (principles and criteria for good forest management), which were established and approved by the Forest Stewardship Council a.c. through the participation and consent of the interested parties.
