Training

Seat Corporate UniversitySeat Corporate University was formed with the aim of becoming a school of excellence in Italy regarding the provision to SMEs of consultancy in the area of communications and advertising information. In its fourth year of activity, SCU has continued toward its objective of creating training courses aimed at developing business skills, new methods of customer relations, and approaches to consultancy and business partnerships. SCU’s activity aims at spreading the Seat PG Internet offering and potential to create business contacts, as well as promote the spread of company values. It has bolstered and expanded the training provided to the employees and the salesforce of the Seat Pagine Gialle Group.
In 2007, Seat Corporate University provided more than 60,000 hours of training with an average of 25 hours per capita. In the first half of 2008, more than 48,000 hours were provided and more than 4000 individuals took part; in 2009 Seat Corporate University provided more than 126.000 hours of training and more than 8000 individuals took part.
 
The key activities are designed:
  • for the salesforce and customers, through the “Insieme On Line” project, a training course aimed at consolidating and increasing Internet skills and knowledge, fostering a more conscious approach to the web which is changing the world. The project focuses on increasing professionalism, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and attracting new business opportunities. Seat Corporate University has held Customer Clinics with its customers, centred on identifying the most effective methods of advertising communications for SMEs, shops and professional activities;
  • to develop the managerial skills of people and stimulate attention to organisational conduct consistent with company values such as cooperation, personal efficiency, internal/external customer orientation, with special attention to market dynamics;
  • to broaden the specialised knowledge of professionals and enhance technical skills;
  • to develop e-learning training courses in webcast mode, with less use of the traditional classroom, bringing savings in terms of time and travel costs.


Seat Corporate University publishes the bi-monthly magazine “Con Voi” launched in March 2006 and now in its 15th edition, with a view to providing SMEs with information on company communications and marketing strategies. It offers a vast array of information on the performance of local economies and sectors where the SMEs operate and includes accounts of experiences of successful firms. The online magazine provides the calendar of training events offered to SEAT Pagine Gialle S.p.A. customers.
